Starting September 1, 2011, the Snyder County Conservation District (SCCD) has the following test kits available for the general public:
- Soil Test Kits for $10.00 each for crop fields, pastures, orchards, gardens and lawns.
- Drinking Water Test Kits (Penn State)
- Pond & Lake Test Kits (Penn State)
- Manure Nutrient Test Kits
Soil test kits are payable to the SCCD when picked up at the office. This does not include postage to Penn State's testing laboratory. Sampling, form completion and mailing directions are included with each kit.
- Payment for the other three types of kits are made directly to the testing laboratory and not to the SCCD. Please follow the enclosed directions for accurate results.

The Snyder County Conservation District will have its annual tree seedling, plant and seed sale again this year. An order form, plant and other descriptions may be downloaded from this web site here. Orders will be taken now until Friday, April 6, 2012. Payment must be enclosed with orders.
Items include: evergreen and deciduous seedlings, fruit tree seedlings, grape vines, perennial bushes and roses, wildflower seed mixes, tree tubes, bluebird boxes and rain barrels.
Pickup days will be Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Conservation District office. Questions may be directed to the Conservation District or 570-837-3000, x110.

The Snyder County Conservation District is selling Snyder County T-shirts for $10.00 each. Sizes range from Child Small to Adult XXL. Shirts come in various colors. Each shirt has a trout printed on the front that is between the words "Snyder County" and "Pennsylvania."

The Snyder County Conservation District sells USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) topographical maps to the public. At this time, the types of maps are as follows:
- Snyder County Topographic Maps: ($7.00 each)
- 7.5 Minute "Quad" Topographic Maps: ($6.00 each) The Conservation District has all the individual maps that make up Snyder County, as well as some others. (Scale: 1:24,000 or 1 in. = 2000 ft.) Contact Renee Swineford, Administrative Assistant, at 570-837-3000, x110 to find out if specific maps are available.
