Trees & Seedlings Sale
2025 Tree/Seedling Sale
The Snyder County Conservation District (SCCD) held its annual tree/seedling sale again this year. Order pickup days were April 16 & 17 at the Conservation District office.
SCCD offered the following trees: Norway Spruce, Eastern White Pine, American Persimmon, Red Oak, American Hazelnut, Silver Maple, Chinese Chestnut, Domestic Apple, Common Pear, Black Elderberry, Honey Crisp Apple, Starfire Peach and Berkely Blueberries. Also available were wildflower seeds, deer plot seed mix, bluebird houses, tree protection tubes with stakes, and soil test kits.

Proceeds from this sale go towards SCCD education outreach.

Testing Kits
The Snyder County Conservation District has several types of test kits for the general public. They include:
Soil Test Kits: (Crop Fields, Pastures, Orchards, Gardens, Lawns) – $10
Soil test kits are payable to the SCCD (Snyder County Conservation District) when picked up at the office. This does not include postage to Penn State’s testing laboratory. Sampling, form completion and mailing directions are included with each kit.
Drinking Water Test Kits:
Made payable to the testing laboratory.
Pond & Lake Test Kits:
Made payable to the testing laboratory.
Manure Nutrient Test Kits:
Made payable to the testing laboratory.
Shirts – $10
Sizes range from Child Small to Adult XXL. Shirts come in various colors. Check with our office on availability.
Maps
Snyder County Topographic Maps – $8
7.5 Minute “Quad” Topographic Maps – $8 – $13.50
The Conservation District has all the individual maps that make up Snyder County, as well as some others outside the County. (Scale: 1:24,000 or 1 in. = 2000 ft.)
