Overview

The Snyder County Victim/Witness Program is a free program dedicated to assisting Adult and Juvenile Crime Victims with the rights and services to which they are entitled under the Pennsylvania Crime Victims Bill of Rights and the standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency .

The Victim/Witness Coordinator along with the District Attorney’s Office believe that victims and witnesses of crime should be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect throughout the criminal or juvenile justice system.  We are here to represent victims and witnesses and to advocate for the victim and make sure that they are provided with as many services as needed.

The Victim Witness Program was created to inform and educate all crime victims of their rights, therefore giving them the opportunity to take an active role in decisions related to how their case is handled.  The Program recognizes the vital role of victims and witnesses in making the criminal justice system work within our community.  The Program strives to ensure a victim’s concerns, interests, and needs are represented and protected.
