The Snyder County Historical Society preserves the heritage and culture of Snyder County through research archives and educational events. Incorporated in 1898, the Society assists students and others who are interested in the area with historical research.

Museum Hours: Sundays 1:30 - 5 pm, May through September
Free Admission / Donations Accepted

Library Hours: Monday, Thursday-Friday 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Sundays (May through September only) 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.
The library will be closed holidays and during bad weather.
Fees: Use is free for members, $2.00 for non-members.
During January and February, the library will be open by appointment only, and there will be a service fee of $5.00 per hour.
Written or telephone research requests: $20.00. |

Meetings: normally last Tuesday of March, May, September and November, 7:30 pm in Fisher Auditorium (second floor of library/museum)
Dues: $200 life, $20 annual, $10 junior (through high school)

Equipment: photocopier, 25 cents per page, one side; 40 per page, two sides; microfilm reader; microfilm copier/reader, 50 cents per page.
Research: Library staff can do research for $20 per name or subject, payable in advance.
Library holdings: genealogies, local histories, church records, pastoral records, bound copies of The Middleburg Post and other local newspapers, microfilms of US Census records for Snyder County, The Middleburg Post and The Weekly Herald.
