The primary function of the Snyder County Assessment Office is the discovery and valuation of the property for over 19,837 parcels for ad valorem tax purposes. This includes the maintenance of all real estate which includes, updating, revisions, analyzing deeds, transferring of ownership, mapping, reviewing existing construction, corresponding and maintaining Homestead/Farmstead files and processing applications.
County assessment records can obtained online, where you can access assessed values, deed reference, and tax history information. This resource does not provide a copy of the sketch or year built.
This is a fee based service at $1.10 per minute.
Appeals may be filed any year on or before September 1, with the result effective beginning with the subsequent tax year. In addition, an appeal may be filed within 40 days of any assessment change notice issued by this office after a change has occurred to a property effectively changing its market value.
