Field Reviews – Field Assessors
The Snyder County Assessment Office receives building permits/zoning permits from each municipality in the county. These permits are noted on the property record card and reviewed by the field assessors. Please be aware that field assessors make UNSCHEDULED visits to properties. It is impossible to call and make appointments for over 19,000 parcels. If homeowners are not available a notification will be left behind notifying them of the visit. The Assessment Office tries to visit all properties once a year.
Aerial Photos
Our office is currently reviewing new images taken in 2024. With this technology tool we are able to find, locate and even measure buildings more easily. We are also finding buildings and additions that may have been missed for some time. It is the field assessors job to discover and value these items.
Field Assessors
Field assessors all wear identification. They are usually in a RED or BLUE Ford Escape that are identified as “Snyder County”. On rare occasions a personal vehicle may be used. They will also carry identification, tape measure, laser measuring tool, clip board, phone, and Ipad.
