RE:  Magisterial District Realignment for Snyder County

The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts has directed each county in the Commonwealth to review caseloads and workloads of each Magisterial Judicial District. The purpose of this directive is to either eliminate one or more magisterial districts, realign or reestablish.  The Common Pleas Judges in conjunction with the two Snyder County Magisterial District Judges are proposing changes to the following magisterial district boundaries:

Magisterial District Judge John H. Reed’s District, 17-3-03 will encompass:

Jackson Township, Monroe Township, Penn Township, Selinsgrove Borough, and Shamokin Dam Borough

Magisterial District 17-3-04 – MDJ vacancy will encompass:

Adams Township, Beaver Township, Beavertown Borough, Center Township, Chapman Township, Franklin Township, Freeburg Borough, McClure Borough, Middleburg Borough, Middlecreek Township, Perry Township, Spring Township, Union Township, Washington Township, West Beaver Township, and West Perry Township

The public is invited to submit written comments by February 18, 2022 to:
