The Snyder County Planning Commission (SCPC) currently has 2 vacant volunteer positions on the planning commission and is looking for members of the general public that may be interested in serving. There are also 3 alternate positions available. The SCPC is responsible for subdivision and land development within the county and has the right to approve plans within 14 of the 21 municipalities. The SCPC also reviews and updates a variety of ordinances for the county, as well as provides information to the County Commissioners to allow them to make informed decisions. The SCPC typically meets the third (3rd) Monday of each month, at 7:00 pm.
